MULE'N

Dress: topshop boutique - mules & coat: primark - socks: topshop
Photographs by Megan Ward

I know . . . I know! I'm the worst! To be honest I don't know how it happened. A day, a week then two and now this. It was all so quick, I didn't have time to think about what I was doing to you . . . to us!

Forgive me . . . please!? I promise never to leave you like that again. I'll blog more . . . I swear!.

Okay, maybe that was a little dramatic. But sincere.

I'm going into my 5th week at uni (second year fashion design and textiles for those of you wondering) and my feet have barely touched the ground! My life has become a constant stream of travelling to and from uni, lectures, tutorials, seminars, work and finding time for my little boy, my partner, our dogs and a very clingy cat. I've been busy, to say the least. But I'm slowly getting into some sort of routine and am determined to post regularly again.

Wish me luck! Post soon (at least I hope!)

SCHOOLIN WITH F&F

boots: F&F - skirt: red herring at debenhams - sweater: H&M - jacket: asos
Photographs by Megan Ward

Getting back into the swing of uni can be a bit of a shock to the system. But nothing could soften the blow quite like a nice little influx of A/W items.

Like every savvy fashionista, I've spent some time searching for the perfect coat and boots to see me through this seasons harsh weather, and although I've yet to decide on the coat, settling for the boot was an easy choice . . . yes, I saw you eye up my new shoes, and your thinking "but how can a student afford those gorgeous Givenchy-esque boots!?" You see these fab boots aren't Givenchy, but in fact a purchase from the very new (and very fabulous) F&F online clothing store, which is finally available here in Ireland!

You can check out the new site here, and if you're in need of a little inspiration, have a look at the "how you're wearing it" section here.

P.s did I mention that the boots were only €25!

PLEAT'N AROUND

Skirt: red herring @ debenhams - shirt: topshop - cap: asos - backpack: primark - trianers: nike @ office
Photographs by Megan Ward

I've found myself drawn to anything pleated lately.

Flowy pleated skirts (midi, maxi or bum skimming minis) with oversized knits will be my A/W uniform. However, I'm a little unsure how I'll achieve this without seeming repetitive . . . that said, a band tee and a biker jacket might work equally well.

What will you be wearing this season?

COBALT

skirt and shoes: topshop - shirt: thrifted - bag: vintage - jacket: asos
Photographs by Megan Ward

The excitement I experience in thrift stores could be perceived as a little unusual. But in place where you can score one off (often vintage) goodies for mere buttons is in my books, defs something to get excited about. Case in point: this cobalt blue shirt, for the grand old price a £2 it was an easy, no questions asked purchase.

The cost per wear on this beauty is going to be great!

AUSTRALIA | PHOTO DIARY

Having to scroll through masses of super sunny holiday snaps when you've been gripped by the soul sucking holiday blues is no mean feat, let me tell you. So although this post is a little late, you and I should both be very grateful that not only is it published, but that I was able to do so without resorting to running away with the savings to spend the rest of my days on a tropical island somewhere . . . and subsequently starving to death, because I am a student, therefore have very few savings.

Hope you like! Now excuse me while I wollow in self pity, Laura x x x

POWDER BLUE

jeans: zara - shirt: topshop - sandals: primark - watch: michael kors
Photographs by Michael O'Hagan

Powder blue.

I'm not usually a pastel kinda gal, but I had to make an exception for this blue on blue look. A pair of sneakers and a mid length grey coat will carry this nicely through to winter too, without the not so subtle peek-a-boo bralette of course! Which admittedly, I may have gone a little overboard on. But in my defence, I was only a few metres from the beach . . . which makes it acceptable, right!?

THE FLORAL SWING DRESS

dress: asos - boots: topshop - bag: primark
Photographs by Megan Ward

I spied this dress on a random blog last year and couldn't stop thinking about it! The shape and pattern are gorgeous, but it was the full length sleeves that had me sold. And the girly factor wasn't enough to throw me off either, because I knew a few chokers and a tough pair of boots were all that was needed to grunge this beauty up and completely obliterate the "ick" factor. I think I did pretty well.  What do you think?
