DOUBLE DENIM

jeans: river island - shirt: topshop - trainers: lacoste at asos - bag: vintage
Photographs by Megan Ward

You probably recall me snapping up this little bag from a charity shop about a year or so back, and for the grand old price of two squids! In all honesty, I think it's time to let the battered old thing go to bag heaven, but I've grown kinda fond of the little mite, which isn't the exact reason I've been using it so much in recent months. You see I'm what fashionistas would describe as "accessory delinquent". And by god has it been a dry spell!

Ideally, I'd be rocking a Chanel caviar wallet on chain, but that's just me dreaming right there! I'll pick up something more affordable soon . . . I'll probably take the broke bitch bag out for a few spins first though, you know, for momentum's sake.

RESTYLED FLORAL

dress: zara - trainers; lacoste - bag: vintage - sunglasses: topshop
Photography by Megan Ward

I restyled this floral zara dress into my spring wardrobe for a busy day of holiday preparation and last minute shopping. I previously styled it with tough boots and a leather biker jacket for winter, but admittedly, prefer this trainers and cross body bag combo. Understated cool wins every time.

BLACKED OUT SPRING WEAR & APOLOGIES

jacket: primark - dress: zara - top: topshop - trainers: lacoste @asos

God have I missed blogging!!

Now that's said I'd like to start off with an apology. I know it's become a bit of a regular thing here on Style Stack, I don't blog for ages, then I begin with my "sorry I haven't posted in so long apology", and you guys are probably bored of hearing it!! Understandably. But in all honesty I'm kinda sick of it myself! Blogging is my absolute favourite thing to do (besides family time that is) and ever since I began over two years ago, I've rarely gone a day without checking out your lovely comments and the little clicks I've gotten that day, and lately I just feel like you guys are getting a bit of a raw deal. You come to visit, and there's nothing new for you to view. So let me explain why.

These past few months of my life have been super hectic. As well as being a mum and studying for my Bachelors in textile art, design and fashion, I have undertaken a fashion buying and merchandising course (which I couldn't pass up on after winning a scholarship!) and to add to the mix, both courses are a lengthy drive from home (2 & 4 hours each way). As grateful as I am to be able to add to my education, these jam packed days just burn me out, forcing me to put Style Stack on the back burner (no pun intended). Which leaves me feeling a little deflated, and totally baffled at how other bloggers manage to maintain a blogging routine alongside their busy schedules. So I'm kinda hoping that you'll stick around whilst I figure that one out.

Now that's been said, I'd like to thank you guys for continuing to visit, even if it is just to roll your eyes at my lack of posting.

Hope to post soon,

P.s this jacket! I've been eyeing up the all saints balfern for months now, but am forever deterred by the price tag, so when I spied this little beauty in PRIMARK (yes, who'd of thought) I decided it would be the perfect substitution. So, it'll do . . . for now.

A WHOLE LOTTA NAVY & SMYTHSON

coat & sweater: asos - joggers: zara - trainers: lacoste - clutch bag: monki - notebook: smythson*
Photographs by Megan Ward

I've had a penchant for nice stationary from as far back as I can remember, so when the generous people of Smythson of bond street asked if they could send me a piece from their fabulous panama collection, well who was I to say no!? And let me tell you, this notebook is one gorgeous little slice of luxury. The lambskin bound, gilded gold pages and convenient size make this an accessory you'll be happy to slip into whatever bag you're carrying that day and of course flaunt if the notion takes you!

You can check out the panama collection here, and if you're anything like me, you will be drooling over the stunning bags, in particular the fantastically minimal panama shoulder bag, which I vow I will one day own . . . a girl can dream, right?
